Will A Cleansing Diet Hurt Me?

Will A Cleansing Diet Hurt Me?

Cleansing diets have become very popular and, as with any popular trend, some people go overboard. Most cleansing diets will not cause you any harm, if you apply yourself sensibly. This said, there are various different types and cleansing diets and some cleansing diets have a potential for danger.

Any cleansing diet that is an extreme fast or starvation diet can have unintended negative effects. Most of these cleansing diets are not really cleansing diets at all. They are actually rapid weight loss diets. We are speaking, here, primarily of the juice diets. A juice cleansing diet generally advocates no solid food intake what so ever, and here is where the potential for danger lurks. Your body needs to take in certain nutrients and vitamins to maintain life and stay strong. A juice cleansing diet may maintain that they provide all of the nutrients and vitamins you need to sustain your body through their starvation regimen, and they probably do, but just barely. It is arguable as to whether you need to add the extreme element of starvation for a cleansing diet to be effective.

There are many cleansing diets that have no starvation element at all. These sorts of cleansing diet, that make a substitution of organic fruits and vegetables for processed foods, dairy, meat, and fatty foods, represent no possible danger to the dieter. This sort of cleansing diet seeks to stop your intake of toxins by creating a healthy diet, instead of a poison and impurity fueled one.

Solid foods, in the form of organic fruits and vegetable, pasta, rice, beans, and herbs are encouraged in this sort of cleansing diet. A colonic may be included in the regimen of a cleansing diet to safely clean your colon. The addition of this element to a solid foods cleansing diet will not hurt you. The addition of a colonic to a starvation type cleansing diet could introduce another element of danger to an already rigorous regimen.

The duration of a cleansing diet is also an important element in considering if a certain regimen is safe for you. Going on a fast, like a juice cleansing diet, may be perfectly all right for a couple of three to four days, but the longer you remain on a starvation type cleansing diet, the more potential risk you add to the equation. A cleansing diet using solid foods as its feeding basis can run up to two weeks, maybe more, safely.

With a cleansing diet offering solid foods, you are halting the intake of toxins from certain foods by eliminating these foods from your diet. With a fasting form of cleansing diet, you are halting the intake of toxins by removing all solid food from your diet.

The key to any diet, as anything else you undertake in life, is moderation. If a cleansing diet seems too extreme or bizarre for you, it probably is not right for you. That is not to say that it wouldn’t work just fine for someone else. We are not talking about anyone else here. We are talking about your personal safety here, which has to do with your comfort level. The rule should be, if it makes you uncomfortable, don’t do it. Try another kind of cleansing diet, instead.

A juice cleansing diet is good alright but can it satiate the hunger that could be quenched by rice and any other solid food? Moreover a cleansing diet should not be confused with n appetizer. Both are different.

I believe that it will not harm people since my mother has done it before and I could see how it works for her. It takes away the bad toxins in the body. Allowing my mother to be healthier in the process.

What are the harms caused by the cleansing diet if we do not apply ourselves properly regarding the use and the in take of these diets? Otherwise it seems there can be no problem at all about a cleansing diet.

A cleansing diet varies upon each individual case. For eg., it’s prudent that Pregnant women and nursing mother are advised not to take a cleansing diet. In addition, people who experience eating disorders, kidney diseases, diabetes, or other chronic diseases should not take this diet. Organic total body cleanse diets are administered to cleanse the body pollutants, which are caused by unhealthy food. As with any other diet, a practicing diet should be stopped under advice if it proves to be adverse.
