A cleansing diet actually has two purposes. The first purpose of a cleansing diet is to rid the body of toxins and poisons. The reasons for eliminating meat and dairy products during a cleansing diet is that many of the animals used to supply these foods have been treated with hormones to make them grow and medicines to keep them from becoming ill. You ingest these hormones and medicines when eat the meat of these animals or their eggs, as well as when you drink their milk.

Unhealthy foods that are fried, or contain saturated fats or refined sugars and flour are more difficult for the body to digest, and place a strain on an already toxic digestive system. For these reasons such foods are prohibited during a cleansing diet. Any processed food is prohibited during a cleansing diet because these foods have no real nutritional value and strain the digestive system.

In a completely healthy system, the body rejects the introduction of irritating elements and toxins by neutralizing the element, turning it into something less harmful, or eliminating it altogether. A cleansing diet becomes necessary when toxicity has been reached to the point where the body struggles to accomplish one of these three tasks or cannot perform any of them. The theory behind a cleansing diet is that once the body stops taking in toxins, it will be able to deal with the ones it has stored. A cleansing diet sets this natural action in place.

During a cleansing diet you may eat things like organic vegetables, organic fruits, beans, rice, pasta, and herbs. Try to keep the foods you eat during a cleansing diet as natural as possible. Consuming them as close to their natural state as possible is also recommended. There fore, during your cleansing diet, you should consume most fruits and vegetables raw. Lightly steaming a fruit or vegetable is okay, but you want them to retain as much of their vitamins and minerals as possible. During your cleansing diet it is important to stop your intake of toxins, this means you want to eat as many organic foods as you can. Organic foods contain none of the pesticides or chemical preservatives found in other commercially grown foods. You should eat all different sorts of fruits and vegetables in the course of your cleansing diet, to guarantee you get all of the essential vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. Your body needs all the good foods it can get during a cleansing diet.

    I never know that there are two purpose of cleansing diet before, all I knew is that when I am going on a cleansing diet then it will rid of my toxins in the body.
    The second purpose of cleansing diet is not clear yet that clear to me.
